After prayerful consideration, I presented to the board that Pleasant Valley Church is currently broken and no longer fulfilling the Great Commission in a healthy or effective way. After discussion, the board agreed with this decision and accepted my recommendation to suspend all current church services, Bible studies, Sunday school classes, and ministry programs under the current Pleasant Valley Church model.
This was not a rushed decision. It came after much prayer, discernment, and concern for the spiritual health of the church and the people attending.
Because I do not know when or what a future relaunch may look like, I am encouraging every person currently attending Pleasant Valley to find a healthy, Bible-believing church where they can worship, grow, and serve.
My original desire was to share this decision with the congregation in a final Sunday gathering. However, after the disruption that took place on Wednesday night, I believe another public service in the current environment would likely create more confusion, division, and unnecessary pain.
I believe the most Christ-honoring path forward is peace, and submission to the leadership decision that has been made.
Effective immediately, there will be no further church services, Bible studies, Sunday school classes, or ministry programs at Pleasant Valley Church under the current model. If individuals desire to continue gathering, we ask that those meetings take place off church property.
Victory Christian School will continue to operate without interruption. The "Blue Building" sports complex also remains a priority and will be completed and used by the public in the future.
I have no further details to share at this time. Please pray for wisdom, biblical clarity, healing, and direction as the board and myself seek the Lord for what He may desire to do in the future through what has always belonged to Him — His church.

"Remind people to be subject to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready and willing to do good, to slander or abuse no one, to be kind and conciliatory and gentle, showing unqualified consideration and courtesy toward everyone. ...avoid foolish and ill-informed and stupid controversies and genealogies and dissensions and quarrels about the Law, for they are unprofitable and useless. After a first and second warning reject a divisive man [who promotes heresy and causes dissension—ban him from your fellowship and have nothing more to do with him], well aware that such a person is twisted and is sinning; he is convicted and self-condemned [and is gratified by causing confusion among believers]."
